In 2021, the advisory team of GIoCT released a Creativity Curriculum Development Handbook that offers guidance to schools that plan to promote creative thinking and innovation on their campus. The handbook offers step-by-step support to teachers and school managers in introducing curriculum change, pedagogical practices in the classroom, and assessment on creativity, with follow-up workshops and remote communications to facilitate schools to learn and use the handbook.
This year also witnessed the progress made by local schools in Shanghai and Jiading, as they start to draw their own creativity roadmap and form creative alliances of schools.
The summit of this year focused on the theme of District-level Design of Creativity for Schools, sharing practice and experience in leveraging district resources to support creative learning at schools.
